The founder
Red Boy
The original LLC was founded years ago as Red Boy LLC, named after Augustus — the family's first dog and one of the most loved companions they've ever had.

Later, while volunteering with rescue dogs, Sara and her family met Adalai at a shelter. They fostered her, but she never really left. One of her many nicknames became "Brown Sugar Betty," and before long, it became the perfect name for the next chapter of the family business.

For years, Sara has been the one filling the house with the smell of fresh cookies, cakes cooling on the counter, and homemade treats waiting for family after a long day. Baking was never just about dessert. It was how she showed love. Whether it was making something special for the kids, spoiling the dogs with homemade treats, or bringing people together around the kitchen table, creating for others has always been part of who she is.
Born from that same spirit, Brown Sugar Betty's is a small Texas craft kitchen built on comfort, care, and scratch-made baking. Every batch is made by hand in Sara's free time, with the kind of attention and pride that only comes from someone who genuinely loves the process.
Outside the kitchen, Sara has spent years volunteering with dogs and caring for animals in need. Anyone who knows her knows the same heart she pours into baking is the one she pours into every dog she meets.
